I found the urge surfing advice useful too - in fact I think it was invaluable advice, that I picked up here in SR. At the time it can seem like the craving won't go away until satisfied, but it does pass and the waves get shallower and less frequent over time. Hang in there Chilledice - the next few days will be tough, but you only need to go through those early days once.
