Newem, thanks for the pointer to that four pointer. I've long been working (in my mind) on just such a distillation - one which cuts away all the Oxford Group style theological and cultural / historical underpinnings. [Oxford Group being the sort of 'seedbed' of Steps thinking, applied later to alcoholism by Bill W and Dr whatisname - I've forgotten :-)]
