There are hundreds if not thousands of people in recovery that volunteer to man the AA/AFG hotlines.
I do it once a week. Most nights the phone is silent...either good or bad...whatever...when one hand of an alcoholic/family member reaches out I hope I can be there.
Of course I can't give out the number...but my point is...please give your local hotline a call for AA/AFG info., a meeting to get to, bend an ear for a minute, or set up a 12 step call.

Granted we are not trained crisis workers but we can set something up for you when you are sober...It might be good I don't get many calls...but it makes MY DAY just to point someone to a meeting or set something up for a 12 step volunteer to call you back.
