One embarrassing moment came back to haunt me recently when passed by a bar I used to frequent and memories came flooding back. One night I walked in the midst of a week long bender, unwashed and smelling awful. I then proceeded to vomit on myself while sitting at the bar in front of the other regulars. I don't why I have so much trouble getting over the embarrassment. I spent a sleepless night playing this moment over and over again in my head and it was six months ago.

Anyone have any tips on getting over embarrassment like this?
I could write a book on embarrassments like that - and worse. It would be a pretty thick book too.

But y'know what?
it's history. It's done.

Wishing it was undone is energy wasted, because it can't be.

Today though? That's a day we can do a lot about.

Put your energy to today - keep building a new life, and a reconstructed you that you can admire and can be proud of.

I guarantee if you do that, if you build a life of good deeds and helping others, you will soon look back at the past and see it in its proper perspective.

We are not our drunken escapades.
We are not our embarrassing moments.

We are a heck of a lot more than that - and we have a second chance to show the world that now.

Take it
