OMG, how ironic!!!!!!!
My daughter just brought me a paper she wrote at school! She had forgotten to give it to me on Thanksgiving.
It says:
Dear Mom,
I would like to thank you for everything, since of course, Thanksgiving is coming up! Here are a few things I would like to thank you for. Thank you for putting a roof over my head and for feeding the family. I know it's hard with only you doing it. I thank you for everything!!!

Definately a positive!!!!! We sometimes give kids way too little credit for how observant they are, their feelings, etc.
