The first couple of weeks is tough, especially if you are doing it alone. Do your best to keep yourself busy and don't let those thoughts stay in your head for too long. They still pop into my head from time to time and I just get them out quickly. Glad you are having some honest conversations with your wife. That support will help a lot. Good luck.
