The moderate Drinker.

Sometimes I wonder if such a species exists.

It may only take one drink over so called moderation (and people have differing views over what this is) to act out undesirably in some way, possibly fatal.

Some people claim to enjoy one or two drinks to quench their thirst. I see this really as a cop out.

Alcoholism may be a disease, but drinking per se, within all the definitions of moderation is always a future misadventure just waiting to happen.
Irrespective of long periods of so called sane drinking the very next moment could be the start of an alcoholic episode, initiated by any of many situations.

There are some things, where even the smallest moderation, will not erase its lethal potential.
