For me I look at this ... With the saying of resentments are like me drinking poison and wanting you to die..
With that line, I already tried the slow alcoholic death with poison... And now I have this wonderful way of life in AA that I never dreamed of. I will absolutely refuse to let anyone have that much power that drinking did. I will not hold a resentment for it will lead me to the drink again I am told.. Like I said , for me its just that, I will not let something or someone have that much power..
