New Job!
I got a job w/ the USPS, as the letter when to report to orientation arrived yesterday. I admit filling out the application I was a little nervous as it asked if I had ever been arrested. I had a DUI back in 1987, and I just hate having to put that down, but since they asked had I EVER been arrested, I had to put it on there.
However, when I was interviewed the Postmaster said to me, "oh, that is the year I graduated high school, that is off your record now." Then she smiled and she drew a line thru it and wrote next to it "off record."
They did fingerprint me and ran a check and I was hired, and start next Wednesday!
I have the program of the AA fellowship to thank for this new chapter of my life. Also the Big Book which gives me instructions how to live, my loving sponsor and my friends, not to mention all of you at SR!
