This brings back a lot of memories, sober1ck.
In the UK a lot of the wines have screw tops nowadays (strangely you cannot find any here in Italy) and when I was travelling back to Italy I used to go to a Sainsbury or Tesco ministore to buy wine to take to my hotel room at the airport. I would carefully choose a wine with a screw top as I knew there would be no corkscrew in the room and then, just as I was about to go and pay, I would see a "2 for the price of 1" sticker. Completely forgetting about the screw top thing, I would proceed to my hotel room stocked up with 2 bottles of wine. Well, believe me, I did this enough times that I am now an expert at getting wine bottles open with a teaspoon!!!!
