I wonder what the recovery rate is for addicts that are taking his programs?
I don't think recovery is the intent of the program from what I gathered from the article. It is a form of palliative care for late stage addiction. Aside from the author's inference that crappy parenting causes a child to become addicted (which is essentially offensive to any of the parents on this forum), just the thought of the
need for palliative care for our loved ones brings to the surface our ultimate fear......their death from this disease. It messes with our hope that recovery is possible. Unfortunately, in some cases, it is a very sad reality.
Personally, I am very glad to know that there is someone with the compassion to provide this measure of palliative care to the terminally addicted. But there was a good portion of the article that I think was a bit of hooey. JMHO.
