A sponsor of mine for 31 years told me once to try to strike a balance of AA, Work, Love and Play.
AA-Morning meditation, call to someone in the program, or a meeting. One or any combination or anything else you can think of to stay in contact with AA.
Work-Put in a good days work, keeping in mind that it's worth having and doing to the best of my ability.
Love-Treating my family and friends as if they are family and friends and not someone I'm obliged to tolerate. Do something anonymously for someone just because. Or, anything else you can come up with.
Play-Something for myself and no one else. A purely selfish act for me bacause I'm happy with me and I enjoy being me. If I choose to involve someone special, that's ok but they can't know my reasons for including them.
It's worth noting that Pat said that what I choose to do can be very simple and unplanned but it's important to try to do these things.
