Hi! Newbie here. I'm 22. I've tried to quit a few times since I was 19, never managing more than a few week. Earlier this year, I did six months but blew it away. Today's my day 2.

To be honest I find it hard, especially around friends, university buddies, etc. I don't really go out anymore. I can't really make friends on campus because it's all about HEY! FREE BEER! COME GET DRUNK TO CELEBRATE whichever event. I can stand being around people who have 2-3 glasses of wine, but when the goal of the party is to get as drunk as possible...

So it's refreshing to find a thread for young adults! Personally when I'm sober I notice that my budget is much healthier. I also tend to be a lot more physically active, I read more instead of just sitting half-drunk in front of the TV.
