AV: Why didn't you take more advantage of the Wetherspoons (very cheap pub) when you were drinking? Those days when you worked and then got home sober was such a massive waste of an opportunity. What was the point?
Me: last time I was in there I ended up alone, downing straight doubles (alone) falling backwards smacking my head on something (alone) giving myself concussion for a week and being avoided by strangers as I managed to get through the door to leave (alone). Things didn't improve for the next nine months until I stopped drinking.
