Sober Saturday..... Smiling!
Hi everyone. It's getting to be my bed time here in the Midwest, but I wanted to check in. I started the day out with a text to my uncle, apologizing and letting him know I am a member of aa now., worked for a few hours, made it to sons foot ball game, met up with an old friend, went to dinner, stopped at a couple girlfriends houses, and came back here and chatted. (Uncle finally replied with a thank you for apologizing, and congrats on my sobriety.... Phew) nowim snug in my corner of the universe, reflecting on another sober Saturday, and in between yawns, I'm smiling. It's a fantastic feeling and I wish the best to those struggling out there. This is def not the easist thing in the world, but since I made my mind up, it's not the hardest either. The benefits out weigh the risks and I am glad to be here sharing!
