Elisabeth, I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. Even if you know it's coming you still can never be prepared. I'm glad you know your mom was proud of you-that will help a lot in sorting through all the emotions. Be kind to yourself, and cherish your memories. Know that you have a whole family of support here when you need it.
Sorry to all the others that have lost people recently too-it's hard enough, without trying to deal with recovery at the same time. I imagine it would be much worse though not sober. Stay strong, time will help to heal you.
