17 days probably seems like a lifetime but it is pretty early in the journey.
I certainly found it took a while for me to level out emotionally...and a little longer than that for me to feel 'normal' and comfortable sober...but I always felt better than I did when I was drinking and drugging.
If you don't feel that way maybe that visit to the Drs is a good call? at least you could put your mind at ease over what this is exactly?
