I had this too, and still do to some extent. When I asked got asked a simple question "How long you been drinking?" To which the answer was 27 years. Then I was informed "It took you that long to get this way, don't expect changes overnight." That applies to lots of things about getting sober, not just the physical looks. I'm having to learn patience...
