I don't think this has a darn thing to do with "alcoholism", personally, but regardless of the source of his behavior he is clearly NOT relationship material. All I can say is that you are well rid of this person. Please do not allow yourself to be further sucked in to his emotional blackmail and drama. Life is too short.
