I completely understand.
Tears flowed down my face when someone told me I was no longer alone and it is okay to let someone help me and take care of me. I have been taking care of myself, by myself since I was 11. I didn't know I deserved support, comfort, love, and kindness. And I was scared to go to Al-Anon in the first place because it was difficult for me to realize and accept the fact that I deserve it. I deserve to have people listen to me, share their lives with me, accept, and help me along my journey to health and healing.
