Hi all, I made it through the weekend clean and sober! Days 4 and 5 down, and in the books!! 5 AA meetings in 5 days are really helping me. Last night (Saturday), I went to my high school class reunion, where most people were drinking a lot. I made it thru the entire evening without a drink, without even wanting a drink!! God must've been with me to give me strength, because this was the first party in decades that I attended and did not drink heavily. I had a great time, danced to the DJ music till after midnight with my wife and classmates, everyone had a great time!!! My wife said, "...see, you don't have to drink to have a good time!". Boy, was she right! I am feeling better every day. Thanks all. One day at a time... tomorrow is day 6, start of a new week.
