Service work isn't just fun it's rewarding...

Good day all,

What another beautiful blue sky 80 degree day here in Cleveland. Man on man a great morning and afternoon, at the West Side AA Picnic and Hoarseshoe Tournament.

Just like last year I ran on of two grills feeding the masses. This year I cooked
1,000 hamburgers and 500 hot dogs. But this year's weather was just fantastic, last year was 98 degree's and standing for 6 hours in front of the massive grill took its toll.

I just can't thank my sponsor, home group, and all the other volunteer's for this 62nd anniversary of this tradition. Its so cool to be apart of something that means so much to many, and just feels good to be around a couple thousand grateful and humble alcoholic's and their families. To watch these families with huge smiles, when some all they knew was that hellish life that this disease cause on everyone. Us I know I thought for so so long , the only person I am hurting is myself, and of course that is just a excuse to keep on that path.

So here's to living in the moment and truly being blessed to be able to. I am now off to enjoy a relatively new meetings anniversary of 8 years. Its a good one that is usually full of current and just finished a few of the many rehabs here that are offered at no cost if you cant afford to pay. Its a lead meeting and usually it someones first lead(being a year of sobriety).

So good Sunday night to all, I hope you enjoyed being sober this July 29th, 2012 for its the only one we will ever have.

As always smile cause Sobriety looks good on You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good love, Inda
