Imperfect in a perfect world
I admit I am not perfect,
I have my flaws.
I don't walk around with
my head held up high.
I don't walk around with my
head dragging the ground
I walk with my head looking
ahead where I want to be.
I believe in myself with the
help of a Higher Power.
Came from the gates of hell
smelling like smoke even
was beginning to get horns
of Satan.
I can't and will not look to
my left or my right.
I am 100% focused on my
goal of becoming a better person.
It starts on the inside working
slow and having my guard up
from satan's firing darts.
The pitch black of darkness
wants me back.
I admit there are days that
stupid thoughts try to cripple
in.
But I remember where I came
from and I don't want to lose
what I got.
