It lasted severe for several months and even though my skin was dry the terrible dandruff and flaking skin got much better. Even though I am a guy that is not into feeling greasy, I started using women's moisturizing soap and used a ton of skin lotion.
I did detox in hospital and had my docs doing full blood workups regularly. My docs weren't overly concerned while I freaked out the first few months.
I am at two years sober in September. As long as your docs are keeping tabs on you, you should eventually get over it. I still have to use a lot of lotion, but that may just be normal.
Few had it then here but trust me I know how you feel.
