Not sure about your meeting, Stu, sounds like there was little said about the steps and
practicing them in all of our affairs. I got sober to live a well rounded life. Today, it has already begun (ok, not specifically today as I'm working on my apartment, after a year and 5 months, I'm finishing up on
moving in and
decorating! 
)
Are these people working the steps and living a life or are they relying on meetings to keep them sober? I know of many who avoid real life by hanging out in 3 meetings a day after being sober a long while.
Or is there something going on
in you that requires a new 4th step action?
"No human power could have relieved our alcoholism......."
