I wanted to say how happy I am to hear how your son is doing , sober since 10-19-11 and voluntarily in SLE. These are very positive steps for your family! I have hope that my son stays sober as well. He graduated his strict and very structured court ordered in patient rehab a few weeks ago and now is in a very well respected program /SLE with 9 room mates. Their home is about 2600 square feet, flat screen TV and only 2 people to each bedroom. They have chores and expectations to go to meetings and random drug testing, etc. He got a job within the first 4 days of leaving SLE, we paid for his first month (425$) which was my Mom's wish for him. He knows he needs to grow up, work and eventually he stated he wants to move to Brazil. He said he wanted to take a class to learn Portugese ! It is refreshing when they begin to do for themselves. I think for us it is a bit soon to rejoice, but every day he chooses sobriety is a good day for me.
