Recovery is hard enough by itself. When you add a using boyfriend to the mix, it makes it ten times harder. I think you need to decide which is more important to you...the boyfriend or recovery. If you are truly serious about recovery, then it is going to need to be your main focus, over and above anything else.

I don't think you would be out of place at a NA meeting. I am an alcoholic, but I know all about thinking...I'm not as bad as they are, so I don't think I really belong there. NA is for anyone who wants to quit using drugs. If that fits you, then you will be in the right place at an NA meeting. Just looking back on what you've done in the past, and feeling like it was normal or acceptable, shows how much influence the drugs had on you. So, NA sounds like a good place for you if you are serious about quitting.
