I had a similar experience with Celexa, Zombieland, couldn't take it. My doc explained that, unlike the rest of the SSRIs, citalopram "brushes" (his words) histamine receptors, so it can be quite sedating for many people.

If you're generally satisfied with Celexa, you might want to ask your doc about Lexapro - they're very similar. Good luck Keep us posted.

ETA: just to be safe, ask your doc if it's okay to add that melatonin, its precursor is serotonin
