way to go Marine! I can totally relate to the weird economics of drinking. I think it has to do with self punishment. I'll spend the money on something that is poisoning my life in every respect, but I won't spend the money on things that are on the side of actual pleasure. So, this is an important shift for you. I'm getting through DAY 1. I am feeling edgy and tingling, just like everyone said I would. I'm also getting a wicked headache. I struggled to walk by multiple liquor stores, wine shops and grocery stores and NOT go in to buy anything. Instead, I bought some Oreo Cookies (which I never eat but really like). Tonight I ate way too many Oreos, but that's better than getting plowed. I just wanted to check in and say that I'm looking forward to Day Two as well.
