I don't know anything about alcohol substitutes or what that might be, I'm afraid.
You're obviously an adult, you're 'allowed' to do whatever you want
but why would you continue to do something that you obviously want help with?
If you're like me, every time you drink alcohol, all bets are off.
I was never anywhere social without being drunk either - at least for 10-15 years - but I wanted to change my life, and I learned to do things sober
Believe me, there is life after alcohol.
