Went to an outdoor free funk/soul/root rock multiband concert in my neighborhood. I had a great time listening and moving to great music. Plenty of booze booths, its what pays for the party. Hey, I figured I got free admission versus probably laying out 50 bucks just to get wasted. Walked home sober, safe and sane, and alone. Won't come to tomorrow wondering what and why and who. No craves and no crazy. Guess its what Ram Dass meant when he said when you've already gotten the message its time to hang up the phone: Sobriety root rocks!
