AnodyneShift, there is NO way I can eat anything high in sugar right now. I'm on day 42 and anything with sugar makes my anxiety MUCH worse. When I stay away from sugar then I feel better. You are most likely experiencing hypoglycemia during this period of alcohol withdrawal and the insulin surges you are getting from the junk food is doing you even more harm. Try cutting out as much sugar as you can right now and eat low glycemic foods.
