That's so cool Kelly. Journaling helped me out so
much when I was so unhappy and feeling alone
in my family because of the lack of understanding
I needed and wanted from them about my recovery.

It was told to me many times to quit using that I
am an alcoholic as a crutch. In other words just
cause I don't drink anymore then to just get over
it.

I wrote those feelings of frustrations I felt many
times using that journaling as an outlet to ease
that pain.

When no one else understood me in the family,
writing in my journal was like talking to my Higher
Power, God or Jesus.

He knew everything I felt. He knew all my secrets.
All my wishes and desires. And He knew I could
cry and scream as much as I wanted, but I had
to let His will be done instead of mine.

10 yrs of journaling led me to a happiness and a
freedom unlike Ive never known before. That was
and still can be a good tool to continue to use in
recovery if I ever need to use it again.
