I remember my 28 day rehab stay like as if were
yesterday and that was back on August 10,1990.
My first full day sober was August 11, 1990 and
is still my sobriety date 20 yrs. later.

Just like you, the whole program stay was organized
and planned out for us from start to finish and living
in a controled inviroment made temptations of not
drinking easier to handle and working on our issues more
important.

I think what you are doing by coming here to SR when
you can to share your experience from there in rehab
working on ur recovery is priceless as it sets you on the
path learning to live a day at a time without alcohol.

Your experience also gives others hope that the place
where you are staying is one way to help fight addiction
with the help of qualified personel.

Sharing your own ESH - experiences, strengths and hopes
of what your life was like before during and after alcohol to
those who still suffer will be the beginning of you building
a solid foundation in recovery to live your life upon for years
to come.
