Before I ended the conversation and fired him I told him that he was speaking to me much like my H and now that I think about it I'm recalling when I first sat down with him this winter he was VERY adamant about not making H's alcoholism a part of this case -- said I shouldn't "publicize" that and embarrass him.
At the time I thought "of course- he's right".
Maybe I was drunk to think that at the time?!
