Ugh. I remember carob. My Mom was a bit of a health nut so that's what we got instead of chocolate. That and trail mix, yogurt drops and yogurt covered raisins. Ironically, now that I can eat all the chocolate I want, it doesn't really excite me anymore.
If you're looking for a lower cal alternative, how about hot chocolate made with cocoa powder? That way, you can control how much sugar you put in it and get a calcium fix too.
