I simply have no experience with your situation.
To protect my early sobriety....I stopped hanging out
with anyone who used drugs or alcohol.
Yes...that included my lover of 5 years and my soccial circle.
I also changed jobs because I had worked for years as a
server and bartender.
I took an office position ..less stress...less cash...no drinking going on.
Drastic ..sure...but my drinking had turned me into a woman
I detested. For me...sober = living well and healthy.
I found new sober friends in my AA meetings who shared my goals
We do all sorts of interesting things ouside of meeting ans stay sober.
