He cleverly waited until you were gone to promise to go to outpatient treatment, get a job, attend school, because he knew that you would oppose and insist on inpatient treatment. Not knowing the laws in NC, I can't say that the hearing was conducted improperly, but it doesn't smell right.
Just curious, how did you have him committed previously? It sounds to me like he went voluntarily, am I right?
