I agree with this! So many people at 4 months have barely started working a program, if they are at all. Many don't have a sponsor yet, and some have yet to have any real plan for their recovery at all! Even my 4 months/8 steps is the result of over a dozen relapses and a month of rehab before saying "hey, I should take this sh*t seriously!"
What can I say, I was/am a hopeless drunk/addict and I was willing to try anything to be happy joyous and free. And I relapsed many-a-times when I'd try quitting the weed and pills by myself. I would make it 2 months tops before I justified using. Not to mention the whole time I would be drinking every few days so really I wasn't sober for more than a few days at a time, if that!
