Please spare me the cliches. And there are lousy sponsors out there, these are people- not gods and their words are not gospel. They are as flawed as the rest of us. I just hope I can find someone stable and trustworthy enough to work with.

glad to see you're giving AA another chance. out of 5 sponsors i had 14 years ago, one was good. so be patient with them. as you said yourself, they're people too. flawed and human just as we are.
don't let a s#itty sponsor drive you away either. just be vigilant about finding a good one even if it takes a few tries.
