"don't drink" is perfect.
My marriage ended "suddenly" about 14 months ago and me and my two small kids were devastated.
Everyones advice to me was simply "don't drink."
Lean on your friends, pray, whatever has worked for you in the past. Even if you don't feel like it.
You can get through this sober.
