The reason they talk about it being a disease is that it is know that the brain makeup of an alcoholic is different than non-alcoholics something to do with the THQ. So when an alcoholic pickes up physically changes occur like cravings, its like having an allergy to it. Behavior is a whole other topic so I think you are getting your concepts twisted a little IMO.
