Topic: Paying Back What I Owe
Hi, Im Sharon. I am an Alcoholic.
By the grace of my Higher Power
and people like you here in SR,
I haven't found it necessary to
pick up a drink of alcohol since
8-11-90.
For that and you I am truely
grateful.
What do you do to stay sober
today?
For me, I reach out to the
alcoholic who is still sick by
sharin my own experiences,
strengths and hopes with them.
It is what I've been doing
since I first walked into AA
some 20 yrs ago. That is a
many one days at a time
collected together to get
me where I am today.
What I am giving back is
what was so freely passed
on to me by the old timers
and is a small price for a huge
debt I owed from the start
in staying sober.
