I know that this will come off sounding bizarre and off topic, but the crime of drunk driving can be prevented of course by people not drinking, but also mass transportation options.
I was responsable for getting to the point of helplessness in my alcoholism, but towards the end, I honestly couldn't stop drinking and when I drank, I drove. It was out of my control by that point.
I wonder if this guy was/is the same?
