Welcome MCR - first, give yourself credit for getting up the nerve to admit your problem and reach out for support. That's a big first step!
I think if you just start reading a lot of posts on this forum, you'll get a good idea of what to do (and not do!) in early sobriety.
For those of us who drank for a long time, it's good to consider talking to a doctor about detox. The first couple days are the worst (in terms of withdrawal).
I took lots of B vitamins and drank a lot of water, hung out here (for support), and dealt with the mental obsession one hour at a time, just not picking up a drink. I found that after several days, things began to get easier. Then I started getting addicted to hangover-free mornings!
