I only went to AA meetings my first month of sobriety and was told I was in "the pink cloud stage" and that it wouldn't last .... well 3+ years later I am still just as excited and happy about my new found sobriety as I was that first month! I missed so much of life during my decades of drinking that now I can even find joy in watching the grass grow. I think "pink clouds" are God's arms wrapped around us and personally I don't ever want to leave His embrace.
