Do I want to be sober today
more than anything? I sure
do..!
I'll do anything to stay sober
and not get back on that roller-
coaster or merry-go-round today.
Reading your share reminded
me of how cunning, baffling
and powerful alcohol or drugs
is.
It's amazing how thoughts of
it creeps up on us by surprise
and entertains and plays with
our mind.
Sooooo crazy isn't it?
Many times when those crazy
thoughts pop in I say my Serenity
Prayer over and over again.
Continueing to say it as I
block out everything else in
my mind.
Close ur eyes and feel the
words seep inside you. Before
you know it, those alcoholic
thoughts quickly fade away.
If again they pop up, repeat it.
My recovery belongs to me.
It's mine and no one elses.
I stay sober for me, myself
and I.
It has more meaning to it
because it's personal.
It will get easier as time
goes on as many with a
few many days added together
sober or clean will share
with you.
Whatever u did today to stay
sober, wake up and do it again
tomorrow.
