it *sounds* like you are experiencing the withdrawal that makes you realize just how much of a PHYSICAL dependence your body had on alcohol. for me it was a real wake-up call as to just how addicted i was....no hiding it.

Be glad that you are on Day #3 because it will get better....but if you feel this crappy, you might want to give your PC doc. an accurate description of what you are going through. your sleep patterns are out of whack (unless you work a graveyard shift of course). try some stretching to relax before bedtime, a warm bath, relaxing tea to get yourself back in sync.

whatever you do NOT want to get back into that vicious cycle of drinking to help you sleep....

good natural sleep WILL come back and so will feeling well.
