Welcome to SR!! Plenty of support and info here and I am glad you want to stop. I drank wine too and much like you it wasn't that I had to have a drink in my hand 24/7....it was more the "i can't stop once i start."
I don't know how I got to that place but once I was powerless to it....every time I drank became one after another until I passed out, ran out of booze or was kicked out.
What I did was just stop. Not easy but the only sure way to fight the beast. I have not picked up nor even sipped a drink in over 70 something days. I accept I have no control over it and have relearned to live life sober. It is amazing
Best of luck and personally I have no problem being around folks who drink, or seeing advertisements or films that advocate alcohol. I know that alcohol is a drug for my alcoholic mind.
