First off. I think you should be thankful you still have a wife.
If you still have a wife, then you have a hell of a lot more life than I do. LOL
But to be honest, you say you spen't the last 10 years drinking, so it stands to reason it will take some time to "get the wheels turning again" so to speak.
Like has been said above, find a hobby. There are some pretty involved things to do with the info on the internet. Thats what keeps me busy. Like I said in another post, my hobby is RC airplanes. And I meet a lot of people flying them, And very few of them drink.
